RAK Ports is seeking a detail‑oriented and technically strong Projects Planner to support our major construction and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a planning professional who thrives in structured environments, understands complex project life cycles, and excels at turning large‑scale project data into clear, actionable schedules that keep teams aligned and projects on track.
You’ll own the creation and management of project schedules, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, track progress, ensure quality alignment, and safeguard project timelines across all phases — from feasibility to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and produce regular progress reports.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to track resources, timelines, and milestones.
- Identify risks, analyse impacts, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support cost forecasting, budget planning, and verification of contractor milestones.
- Lead planning meetings and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders.
- Manage schedule changes, document variations, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Contribute to all project phases — feasibility, tender, design, construction, and handover.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction project planning (client-side or consultancy preferred)
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) and project management principles
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and multi‑disciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast, identify risks and resolve issues proactively
- Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills
- PMP certification is an advantage
