Alternatives, Inc. is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing department serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

• Provide skilled nursing care tailored to the unique needs of adults with IDD.
• Collaborate with direct support professionals, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, person-centered care.
• Monitor health conditions, administer medications, and coordinate medical services.
• Advocate for the health, safety, and well-being of each individual in your care.
• Educate and empower staff, individuals, and families on health management and wellness practices.

All employees are required to complete 10-15 trainings upon hire and on an ongoing basis. Trainings are a combination of in person, which require staff to commute to the main office in Raritan NJ, and remote, using Go To Meeting. All trainings are paid.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
• Experience in developmental disabilities, mental health, or related fields strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A caring, empathetic approach and a passion for serving others.
