We are searching for the best talent for R&D DSDH Integrated Data Products Intern to be in NJ New Brunswick
.
- The Intern term is from May to August, 2026.
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
In this role, you will work with colleagues in the R&D Data Science & Digital Health organization and partner with key businesses across Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine to apply advanced data science and analytics engineering principles to answer key research questions. The intern will contribute to projects that enhance patient care through technology, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands‑on experience in the rapidly growing field of digital health.
Interns could be located out of our US locations in San Diego, San Francisco, Titusville, Raritan, Spring House, Boston as well as remote.
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in master’s or PhD program in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology, Biomedical or Health Informatics or related quantitative discipline or related fields.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
- Strong working knowledge of data science and machine learning methodologies, with understanding of software development best practices including version control, unit testing, and code review.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages:
Python, R, SQL - Familiarity with predictive modeling and analysis of large datasets.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of healthcare systems and digital health technologies.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Knowledge of epidemiology and experience in analysis of healthcare datasets: clinical trials, claims, EMR/EHR, survey, observation studies.
- Familiarity with Git and version‑control, plus hands‑on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
- Experience with one of the cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP, have knowledge developing both cloud‑native applications
- Conduct research on the latest trends in digital health and propose innovative ideas for new initiatives or improvements.
- Possess a strong knowledge of GPU and high‑performance computing techniques for efficient data processing.
