Short summary
Seeking a strong architect thinks like a designer works as a developer to build automation that securely downloads and installs approved client’s repository software on PMUL/Cybersphere servers and to create CI/CD pipelines for installation, validation, and promotion across environments. Strong Linux, Ansible, Jenkins, artifact and secrets management required.
About the role:You will design and implement reliable, idempotent automation and CI/CD pipelines to ensure approved repository packages are securely retrieved, validated, and installed on target Linux servers (PMUL/Cybersphere). Collaborate with security, release, and operations teams to meet audit/compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities:- Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) that fetch approved artifacts, verify integrity, install packages, and run post-install validations.
- Develop idempotent install automation (Ansible preferred) that supports install/upgrade/uninstall and rollback.
- Integrate with internal artifact repositories and implement checksum/signature verification.
- Implement secure secrets handling (Jenkins credentials / Vault), mutual TLS or token auth for repo access, and detailed audit logging.
- Add automated smoke tests, health checks, and monitoring/alerts for install outcomes and configuration drift.
- Document runbooks, rollback procedures, and pipeline design; provide knowledge transfer to ops teams.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise change controls and security policies.
- 6+ years engineering experience with 4+ years in Dev Ops/SRE/automation roles (senior level).
- Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and package management (rpm/yum, dpkg/apt).
- Hands‑on experience with Ansible (preferred) or Chef/Puppet and with writing idempotent automation.
- Proficient in Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkins file, shared libraries) and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience with artifact stores (Artifactory/Nexus) and secure artifact retrieval practices.
- Scripting:
Python and Bash; familiarity with shell tooling and unit‑testable scripts. - Experience with secrets management (Hashi Corp Vault, cloud KMS) and secure credential usage in pipelines.
- Good knowledge of networking, SSH, firewalls, and access controls; strong documentation skills.
- Experience working in regulated/compliant environments is strongly preferred.
- Direct experience integrating with internal enterprise repos or PMUL/Cybersphere‑like platforms.
- Familiarity with signing artifacts (GPG), checksum verification, and binary provenance.
- Terraform or cloud IaC experience; container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus.
- Experience with Service Now/ITSM integration and change‑control workflows.
