Role OverviewThe Site Supply Chain Lead is part of the Manufacturing Technical Operations team responsible for leading Supply Chain planning—including Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning, and Batch Logistics—within a personalized cell therapy manufacturing site. This position partners with plant leadership, Technical Operations, and Quality functions to support clinical and commercial manufacturing under cGMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, lead, and oversee tactical and operational production plans in close collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders, aligned with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast.
- Analyze manufacturing capacity, develop exception planning scenarios, and create contingency strategies to meet scheduling plans and patient runs.
- Oversee execution of detailed production schedule alongside Manufacturing Operations.
- Develop, interconnect, maintain, and actively manage stakeholder relationships to enable optimized plans.
- Integrate planners across functions into master plant production schedule.
- Monitor progress‑to‑plan, identify threats, and work with stakeholders to devise mitigation strategies.
- Partner with V2V, Manufacturing Operations, Planning & Procurement to achieve daily and long‑term production plans.
- Develop planning methodologies and tools translating end‑to‑end requirements into scalable operations.
- Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical components.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement best practices for safety stock and demand variability.
- Perform forecasting analysis maintaining flexibility and optimized resource capacity.
- Design, implement, and oversee execution of supply chain business processes in SAP and other systems.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support regulatory inspections.
- Apply in‑depth understanding of S&OP, production planning, and materials management.
- Build strong partnerships with external collaborators in a matrixed environment.
- Work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and balance competing priorities.
- Apply knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance for cell‑based products.
- Promote continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention (Lean/Six Sigma and ASCM certifications preferred).
- Possess strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Exhibit transparency, passion, fearlessness, and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business/Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 8 years in supply chain/operations, preferably in a cGMP biotech environment.
- Experience with SAP and/or Oracle; technologically savvy with new systems and processes.
- Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced analytics), Power BI/Tableau, Word, Visio.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Anaplan, Kinaxis Rapid Response, Binocs preferred) and advanced planning tools.
Annual base salary: $142,146 – $186,567 USD.
