Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Pay rate: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process, with potential to earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.38 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assisting with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and other items (including firearms in FFL locations).

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items per policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and clear communication.
  • Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (as required by law).
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Occasional exterior assistance for customers or product retrieval may be required.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. More details are provided during the interview process.
