Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do

Be a Team Member – Collaborates with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks and resources, and mentoring new technicians. Communicates and develops interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service.

Be an Expert – Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, and product specifications. Shows expertise in Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.

Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.

Be an Owner – Communicates equipment, tools and supplies needs to TBC Lead, tracks and monitors returns and special orders, operates cash registers, processes transactions, and maintains accurate inventory. Conducts safety audits, reports hazards and problems, completes paperwork and logs, and ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored in accordance with company policies.

Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member’s experience in the TBC area and modeling high‑quality service. Develops, influences and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style. Supports training of team members and helps identify member needs to assist with purchasing decisions.

Compliance – Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements action plans, uses the Open Door Policy and applies them to business processes and practices. Completes work assignments, prioritizes responsibilities, communicates progress and recommends improvement opportunities.

Respect – Embraces differences, fosters belonging, builds strong relationships and motivates teams with impact, energy and positivity.

Integrity – Promotes the highest standards of ethics and compliance, holds oneself and others accountable, supports Walmart’s commitment to becoming a regenerative company.
