Overview

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time BAKER positions.

Location:

Monument Health Rapid City Main Hospital - 353 Fairmont Boulevard, Rapid City, SD 57701.

Schedule:

Full time and part time; days and hours may vary, including overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Further details upon interview. Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

• Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.
• Bakes breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets; assists in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following production standards and using proper equipment.
• Helps complete production records, including waste tracking, used/unused portions, and product shortages; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area.
• Handles food items safely and in accordance with safety regulations during preparation and service.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area; keeps display equipment clean and debris-free.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, customer-service oriented manner; relays concerns to supervisors.
• Works to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Checks that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follows sanitation and safety principles, adhering to corporate and OSHA safety standards.
• Completes shift work on time and thoroughly according to department standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Previous baking experience preferred. Willing to train!
