Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and inter‑disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, using appropriate age and population‑specific standards. The role includes caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and coordinating resident assessment, education, and nursing interventions.
The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the scope of nursing practice and state regulations.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
