Street Outreach Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rapid City, MI, as a Street Outreach Specialist. In this role, you will engage directly with individuals facing challenges such as houselessness and trauma. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outreach in the community, providing support and resources, building trust with individuals, and helping connect them to services and programs. You will also collaborate with team members and community partners to create a safer and more supportive environment for those in need.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with community members empathetically and professionally.
• Proficiency in documenting interactions, compiling resources, and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience in Community Outreach and building relationships with diverse populations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment and adapt to diverse situations.
• Knowledge or experience with trauma-informed practices is a strong asset.
• High level of cultural competency and empathy for marginalized populations.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for effective on-site engagement.
