Registered Behavior Technician

Overview

$19.65/hour + Experience
• Full Time Opportunity (40 hours/week)
• Monday – Friday, based on clinic needs.

We are seeking a passionate individual for our clinic in Rapid City, South Dakota. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will gain valuable experience supporting goals in psychology, BCBS, nursing, special education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and more. If you enjoy providing one-on-one behavior interventions in a clinical setting and are goal-oriented, we would love to have you as part of our team.

You will teach communication, social and daily living skills and reduce problematic behavior in a variety of settings, working as a pivotal member of the staff to exceed company goals and foster teamwork.

• Establish and maintain rapport with children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Implement behavior interventions designed by the BCBA in clinic or home settings; follow treatment plan goals and interventions, using sound judgment and seeking appropriate consultation
• Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide effective treatment and minimize disruption; communicate progress with family and treatment team
• Maintain expertise in current research and techniques affecting persons supported; stay current on legal and ethical issues; promote behavior analytic theory and principles
• Assist BCBA with training family, caregivers, and others regarding reinforcement, interventions, and topics related to the treatment plan and goals

If you do not currently have your RBT certification, we offer on-the-job training and pay for the testing/certification process.

• High school diploma or GED; must be 18 years of age or older
• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is preferred
• Two years of completed coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related fields, and/or prior experience with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities and challenging behaviors is preferred
