We are seeking a Director of Rehab Services to join our team!
Hospital DetailsLocated in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills is equipped with 36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long-term acute care beds. As a new cornerstone of specialized care in the region, our hospital uniquely combines two levels of care under one roof. This integrated approach allows us to offer comprehensive care solutions for patients who’ve suffered a range of debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions.
At the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills, we are dedicated to delivering advanced treatments and compassionate care to help our patients recover and regain their independence.
Responsible for serving as the Director of all rehabilitation services for the hospital. The Director works to fulfill functions of achieving clinical and financial operational goals. Monitors admissions and treatment schedules, assists in marketing, implements hospital policy as appropriate, assists in development of new programs, ensures rehab department meets the Joint Commission and CARF accreditation where applicable, as appropriate to the vision of hospital.
Provides additional administrative supervision and rehabilitation management as established by the Chief Executive Officer/Governing Board.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist in the state of employment required.
- Minimum five (5) years of therapy-related experience required.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
- Master’s Degree in an allied health field preferred.
- Three (3) years management experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and with inpatient psychiatric population.
- Ability to remain calm under stress or in emergency situations.
- Ability to interact with people who are under physical and / or emotional stress.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
