Electrical test engineers perform medium and high voltage system testing and verification. The role requires detailed work with protective relays, control circuits, and alarm systems, along with extensive use of test equipment such as Doble and Fluke instruments.

• Test medium and high voltage apparatus and perform functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits.
• Set, test, and troubleshoot protective relays.
• Operate and interpret results from Doble, Fluke, and other test equipment.
• Read and understand technical documentation, user manuals, IEEE standards, and ANSI/IEEE device function numbers.
• Apply the latest NETA Acceptance Testing Specification (ATS) and Maintenance Testing Specification (MTS).
• For Senior Test Engineers: demonstrate proficiency with substation physical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics; explain protection philosophy, feeder protection, breaker failure protection, bus protection, transformer protection, cap bank protection, and distance protection (reach, time-delay, Mho elements).

• Proficient with Doble, Fluke, and related test equipment.
• Strong understanding of IEEE and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Knowledge of NETA ATS and MTS specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and safety‑first work habits.
• Driving experience and ability to obtain vehicle insurance.

• BSEE, BSME, or BSEEET degree.
• 6–10 years’ experience for Senior Test Engineer (or equivalent combination).
• Senior Test Engineers must be able to obtain NICET Level III certification.
• Ability to pass client‑mandated drug and background checks.
• No anticipated visa sponsorship required.
