EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has immediate openings for Electrical Test Engineers and Senior Test Engineers. The successful candidates will join a team that performs testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems. Travel is a significant part of the job.

• Test Engineers perform testing on medium and high voltage apparatus and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits.
• Senior Test Engineers provide setting and testing of protective relays and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits.
• Read, interpret, and apply technical documentation and users manuals; be familiar with IEEE standards; know ANSI/IEEE device function numbers; and be familiar with the latest versions of NETA ATS and NETA MTS.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of substation physical drawings, equipment wiring diagrams, and substation control schematics.
• Explain all aspects of substation protection philosophy, feeder protection, breaker failure protection, bus protection, power transformer protection, cap bank protection, and distance protection concepts (basic concepts, reach settings, time-delay settings, Mho distance elements).

• BSEE, BSME, or BSEEET degree; 6-10 years experience for Senior Test Engineer or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Senior Test Engineers must be able to obtain NICET Level III certification.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices; excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of test equipment; driving (ability to be insured to drive company vehicles).
• Subject to client-mandated drug and background checking and EPC Services Company's auto insurance carrier requirements.
