Position Summary:

The Records Technician is responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic records that are essential to the orthodontic treatment planning process. This includes digital X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photos, and 3D scans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and enjoys working closely with both patients and the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and make them feel at ease prior to records appointments
  • Capture diagnostic records including:
    • Intraoral and extraoral photographs
    • Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays
    • 3D iTero or intraoral scans
  • Ensure image quality and accuracy of all records
  • Upload, organize, and label patient files in the practice management system (e.g., Dolphin, Cloud9)
  • Maintain sterilization and cleanliness of records room and equipment
  • Assist with initial exams and new patient onboarding when needed
  • Support clinical staff in managing patient flow and scheduling follow-ups
  • Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and radiation safety protocols
  • Perform equipment checks and report any maintenance issues

Requirements:
