About the RoleAs a Line Operator at Maverick Pipe, Rantoul, IL, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient production of piping and strut products, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, adheres to safety protocols, and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team.
Shift- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Sun‑Wed or Wed‑Sat. Employees work every other Wednesday.
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sun‑Wed or Wed‑Sat. Employees work every other Wednesday.
$20 - $21/Hour
What You’ll Do- Operate production equipment and ensure product quality – ensures efficient production of piping and strut products while performing quality checks to meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area – follows company policies and procedures for housekeeping and safety, ensuring a compliant and organized environment.
- Conduct quality inspections – performs necessary checks to ensure product compliance with customer specifications, addressing any defects or deviations immediately.
- Foster teamwork and professionalism – collaborates effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
- Follow supervisor and leadership direction – completes tasks accurately and efficiently, adhering to guidance from supervisors and team leaders.
- 1+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail – ability to perform quality inspections and follow production standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills – demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and works well within a team.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols – commitment to adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean working environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs – must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and performing quality inspections.
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Comfortable wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
