Certification Details

Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant (715‑1545) – 5 days a week with weekday and weekend call requirements. Call on the weekdays are 4:30 pm to 7 am, weekends are 7 am to 7 am. Everyone is expected to pick up a holiday which is also 7 am to 7 am.

The Surgical Assistant department is inclusive of PAs and CSAs that assist in a wide variety of surgical cases, including but not limited to Total Joints, Breast, Plastics, Rhinoplasty, Laparoscopic and Robotic General, Urology, and GYN cases.

Unit accepts 1st‑time travelers.

Scrubs:
Teal

715‑1545 – 5 days a week.

Holiday call: 7 am to 7 am.

• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, CSFA.
• 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist first assistant.
• AHA provider certification (Instructor card now acceptable); RQI acceptable.
• I9 required.
• Government‑issued photo .
• Must complete Stroke CEUs prior to start if not already on file or expired (to be completed within a week of start). All Stroke CEUs must be renewed annually.
• Additional stroke and trauma CEUs may be required.

Unit accepts 1st‑time travelers.

• CL/CSS:
  Must check UD/JD to verify certifications required.
• Stroke and Trauma CEUs expire annually; use a 1‑year expiration date.
