Overview
We are hiring a Front Desk for our Facility. This is an essential role within our community; you will often be the first person a resident or family member meets!
Shift: This is a Full-time position providing coverage from 8:30am-4:30pm with opportunity for night hours and every other weekend.
Compensation
: commensurate for experience between $15.00 - $17.00 hourly
- Answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, taking messages, giving information, directions, and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests, and vendors.
- Maintaining a clean and visually appealing lobby (disinfecting check-in kiosk, pens, and keypad, updating bulletin board, etc.)
- Ensuring staff are wearing name badges and visitors are given visitor passes
- Answering and routing all incoming calls in a timely, courteous, and distinct, customer-friendly manner using proper telephone etiquette.
- Monitor the entry and departure for all guests, residents, and vendors while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Ensure that all visitors are screened prior to entering the facility
- Greet, identify, and visit with all guests/visitors with scheduled appointments. Offer brochure material when appropriate. Function as information “hub” to all visitors ensuring their needs are met.
- Refer all marketing inquiries to Admissions Director. Complete Inquiry Sheet if Admissions Director is unable to talk with the prospect.
- Assist with other clerical tasks assigned by Administrative department
- Distribute mail throughout facility to staff and residents; assist in maintaining postal supply for residents and assist in preparing out-going mail.
- Retrieve incoming invoices from corporate office, gather signatures, and send back to Accounts Payable
- Maintain abundant supply of appropriate forms ready for use in files.
- Assist in redirection of disorientated Residents as needed.
- Coordinate use of common usage area for events/meetings as directed.
- Assist job applicants with giving them applications and department head information
- Other duties as assigned.
The receptionist is responsible for providing information and referral to residents, visitors, staff and prospective clients in a positive, service-oriented manner. The Receptionist must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/she must possess basic clerical skills; typing, filing, light bookkeeping and be able to work in an environment with multiple interruptions. The position requires a pleasant nature and a willingness and desire to work with the elderly.
