Position Description
As an Access and Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Pull, support, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
- Install and troubleshoot surveillance and access devices and equipment.
- Repair and maintain doors and locks.
- Climb ladders and work from elevated positions on aerial lifts.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as power drills and hammer drills.
- Repair, install, and service facilities, properties, and equipment.
- Report maintenance requirements.
- Drive company vehicles such as pickup trucks, small vans, and passenger vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- More than two years of experience.
- DMV check is required.
- Must have a valid CA Drivers License.
- Adept at reading design plans.
- Comfortable working in new construction sites or on remodeling projects.
- Familiar with job-site safety rules and equipment.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Perform manual labor, extensive walking, standing, kneeling, carrying, and climbing ladders.
- Willing to work overtime and on weekends.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Team player.
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Experience with power tools.
- Basic construction knowledge.
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Knowledge of Access, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and Security Systems.
