Job Description     Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location:

Rancho Mirage, California, USA
Term:  Contract     13 Weeks
Shift Type:  Full-Time, 36 hours/week
Shifts per Week:  Variable     based on 36-hour schedule
State:  California

Position Overview:

Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. The role includes patient preparation, camera operation, radiation safety, and accurate record-keeping in compliance with established protocols. The technologist will also calibrate instruments, prepare radiopharmaceutical materials, and ensure patient safety during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures.

Schedule and prepare patients for procedures.

Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary equipment according to protocols.

Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals.

Monitor radioactive decay and patient study results.

Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and charge tickets.

Observe and monitor patients    physiological responses during procedures.

Start IV lines and perform injections as required.

Maintain inventory and manage radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities.

Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain proficiency in safety practices.

Collaborate with physicians, supervisors, and other team members.

Required Licenses &

Certifications:

ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification

California State License for Nuclear Medicine Technology

Basic Life Support (BLS)     American Heart Association

Experience:

New graduate eligible

Preferred: 1   3 years of nuclear medicine experience

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
