Job DescriptionThis role is ideal for individuals with experience in
installation, service, or both
— we’re open to candidates who excel in hands‑on installs, troubleshooting service work, or a mix of the two.
As a Field Technician, you’ll be working on a variety of customer sites in Southern California, handling systems that protect and support critical infrastructure. Every day brings something different — from new system installs to diagnosing and repairing complex issues in the field.
- Install, configure, and test low voltage systems, including:
Access control, CCTV / IP video surveillance, Intrusion detection, Fire/life safety and related technologies - Provide service and troubleshooting support for existing systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues
- Perform site surveys and assist in project planning when needed
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and project updates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to deliver high‑quality solutions
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner
- 2+ years of experience as a field technician in low voltage, security, or electrical systems (installation and/or service)
- Working knowledge of wiring, electronics, and system integration
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable working at customer sites, which may include commercial, healthcare, industrial, or government environments
