Job Overview

Are you a strategic, hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for driving operational excellence? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and teams. In this critical role, you will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, manage and develop technical teams, and ensure all production and facility equipment operates safely and efficiently. Your leadership will directly support productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and sanitation teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company standards
  • Oversee execution of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance activities
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
  • Coordinate daily maintenance priorities, urgent repairs, and work orders to minimize production downtime
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to support operational goals
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance inventory to ensure cost-effective and accurate control
  • Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Support installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment and processes
  • Partner with maintenance teams at other MT locations to share best practices and technical support
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives using Total Preventive Maintenance methodologies
  • Ensure ethical conduct, effective communication, and strong leadership at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Technical degree and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and maintenance experience
  • Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial systems knowledge
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in food, consumer products, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Language Requirements:

  • English – Required
  • Spanish or French – Preferred

Physical Requirements

This role requires physical engagement, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting items over 50 pounds. Exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, varying temperatures, fumes, and vibration may occur. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required. Off-shift or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
