The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Manages movement of finished goods and parts within the stockroom.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Proactive approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.
- Able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of UPS Tracking World Ship software, Fed Ex Ship Manager
- At least 5 years’ experience in shipping / receiving environment.
- Logistics experience in Import / Export
- Experience with cycle counting programs and inventory accuracy improvement
- Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable in Incoterms
- Knowledge of shipping of dangerous goods as well as appropriate DOT requirements
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
- Experience in SAP a plus
- Experience in aerospace environment a plus
- Some college a plus
- Performs daily management of material handling, shipping, receiving, and data entry.
- Manage layout of stockroom considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping materials.
- Maintain and review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
- Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
- Support and drive continuous process improvement
- Process both customer and vendor returns as required
- Support cycle count program to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
- Determines and documents work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Works with Buyers to resolve invoicing and receipt issues
- Manage department to planned budget
- Review and coordinates logistics on both import and export of goods with Supply Chain.
- Works closely with Sales/Customer service to support customer orders and requests
- Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required
