Position: PAYROLL SUPERVISOR

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including California labor laws.
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with major payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or Paycom).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, multi-state payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential preferred.
Day to Day Responsibilities:

The Payroll Supervisor oversees the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role works closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and maintain employee satisfaction.

  • Supervise daily payroll operations and staff performance.
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll runs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper general ledger postings.
  • Coordinate with HR on employee changes, benefits, and timekeeping issues.
  • Audit timecards, deductions, and expense reimbursements for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, union contracts, and company policy.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support internal/external audits.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
