Overview

We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising Post-Conviction Relief Attorney position within a premier law firm with room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain experience in both criminal and immigration law and advance their career with an established firm in the Rancho Cucamonga area. As the Post-Conviction Relief Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney.

We’re seeking an attorney with previous litigation and/or appellate experience to join our team and handle post-conviction relief. The Post-Conviction Relief Attorney will manage their caseload, client interaction, and collaborate with our Post-Conviction Relief Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Advise the client on their legal rights in matters and draft legal documents related to their case.
  • Handle post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, early termination of probation, and related tasks.
  • Experience with immigration law is highly desirable but not required; this position will involve interactions with both criminal and immigration practices.
  • Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients on strategies after each hearing.
  • Manage open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing on behalf of other criminal attorneys within the firm.
  • Manage court appearances, draft motions, interview clients, and perform legal research.
  • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Manage workload of cases and provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits.
Qualifications
  • Criminal defense experience or immigration law experience.
  • Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to help, strategize, and collaborate with fellow associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annual salary

Pay ranges can be exceeded depending on experience on a case-by-case basis.
