LCSW or LMFT; part-time

Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are encouraged to consider an available part-time / as needed Clinician position with Liberty Healthcare’s forensic mental health program located onsite at the West Valley Detention Center - a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

This program exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved, experiencing mental illness, and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial.

The goal of this cutting-edge program is to facilitate early access to mental health services, provide rapid stabilization, and restore people to competency efficiently and effectively.

As a Clinician, Your Role Will Involve

• Providing services to program clients one-to-one, in-person, and onsite at the jail facility
• Conducting psychosocial and risk assessments
• Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
• Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education
• Documenting services and client status in Liberty’s electronic health record system
• Participating in treatment team and other meetings
• Collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff

Two Options Are Available

• Working a regular part-time schedule with 3-day workweeks (24 hours total each week)
• Working as needed at times of peak program utilization and when coverage is needed for staff who are on vacation or other leave

You can expect to be paid $50.00 per hour.

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally as a LCSW or LMFT and have an interest in serving justice-involved adults who are experiencing mental illness.
