Summary

Provide quality assurance support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.

Salary

$87K - 98K;
Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100D QMS
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources
  • Communicate and reinforce GMS’ commitment to quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with GMS’ customers’ quality and engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design
  • Review customers’ requirements for Quality Notes (Q Notes) and alert Sales and Engineering of possible exceptional Q-Notes
  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem‑solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action
  • Perform PFMEA and DFMEA analysis
  • Coordinate with Senior Quality Engineers to resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Participate in quality reporting and management review processes when needed
  • Interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and all Manufacturing functions
  • Interact with all levels of customers’ QA, contract manufacturers, and all suppliers, including issuing and responding to SCARs
  • Perform suppliers’ audits
  • Conduct internal audits and report findings
  • Participate in DQS audits as required
  • Perform FAI on product from turnkey suppliers and in‑house production and generate the AS9102 report
  • Create inspection guides for product
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s in applicable field and 2-5 years of experience in the field of quality
  • Experience with ISO
    9001:2015 and AS9100D
  • IPC‑A‑610 certified required, J‑STD‑001 certified preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of inspections and manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in the electronics/electro‑mechanical industry
  • Current knowledge of all manufacturing ISO, FAR, DFAR, ITAR advantages
  • Certified ISO 9001 and AS9100D preferred
