Chaffey College is a full‑time, tenure‑track Business instructor position in the Business, Technology, and Hospitality Academic and Career Community. The assignment provides a full professional service week throughout the 176‑day academic calendar and is based at the Rancho campus, with possible teaching at the Chino and Fontana campuses.

Responsibilities- Provide instruction in a manner consistent with the District's standards and in accordance with the approved course outlines of record;
- Effectively develop and maintain culturally-sensitive and equity-minded learning environments;
- Demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of diverse backgrounds as they relate to equity-minded practice;
- Provide a safe and positive educational environment conducive to effective learning;
- Deliver instruction and student support in multiple formats and deliveries (online, in-person, hybrid, hyflex, fast-track, accelerated, etc.);
- Maintain current knowledge in the discipline and employ innovative methods for in‑person and online education;
- Maintain professional and ethical standards;
- Use effective educational techniques to promote learning and achievement;
- Participate in department, school and community meetings, curriculum and program development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and related duties for student and college success;
- Engage students, promote critical thinking, collaboration, and empathy;
- Participate in professional development, seminars, mentoring, club advising, committees, academic senate, and related activities;
- Day, evening, and/or weekend assignments at any College campus may be part of the regular contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education; OR
- Bachelor's in any of the above AND a Master’s in economics, personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.); OR
- Bachelor's in economics with a business emphasis AND a Master’s in personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.); OR
- Possession of a valid lifetime California Community College credential authorizing service as an instructor in business; OR
- The equivalent (equivalency questions are included in the Faculty Application for Employment).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds in a community college environment.

Desirable QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates who demonstrate high professional competency in areas such as:
- Organizational and computer proficiency, including the ability to use technology in the classroom;
- Two years of recent teaching experience in a related discipline;
- Experience with multiple formats and deliveries (online, in-person, hybrid, hyflex, fast-track, accelerated, etc.);
- Commitment to culturally-responsive instruction and equity-based efforts;
- Support for students on all academic pathways;
- Experience with the student populations in the Chaffey College Equity Plan;
