Chaffey College is seeking adjunct faculty for the Child Development and Education Department. All applicants must meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Child Development and Education instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Closing: Continuous Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education; OR
• Bachelor's in any of the above AND a Master's in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studies; OR
• The equivalent; OR
• A valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as a Child Development and Education Instructor in a California Community College; AND
• Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

Meeting the minimum qualifications does not assure an interview. Applications will be evaluated based on the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Compensation

Part‑time faculty compensation is commensurate with education and District teaching experience according to the lecture, lab, or non‑instructional rate schedules.
