Position Description


Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Associate Degree Nursing Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College

Minimum Qualifications for Associate Degree Nursing instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Nursing AND

The minimum qualifications as set by the California Board of Registered Nursing, which requires:
At least one year of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years, which can be met by:
One (1) year's continuous full time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; or One (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency and completion of at least one year of experience teaching courses related to nursing or a course which includes practice in teaching nursing.

A current California RN License OR

The equivalent.

Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

COMPENSATION
Part-time faculty compensation is commensurate with education and District teaching experience according to the lecture, lab, or non-instructional rate schedules.
