Position: Fire/Life Safety Service Sales Executive

Fire/Life Safety Service Sales Executive

We are looking for a driven Sales Executive to support our Service Agreements business within the Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service team. You will represent Siemens technology and services, interacting regularly with customers to facilitate safe, emergency‑ready workplaces in large commercial buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasting expected order intake and delivering forecasted results consistently.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals. Keep current on automation, electrical, fire, mechanical, and IoT market business and product trends.
  • Develop a vertical market and account management plan that focuses on strategic growth. Identify new business opportunities and develop “go to market” strategies to drive business to the end user customer and the standard construction channel.
  • Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization, understanding their challenges and recommending services to ensure their building systems perform as required.
  • Attend industry‑specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations such as NFPA, NFSA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, IFMA, SAME, 7x24, ASHRAE, AEE or USGBC to build a network of contacts and represent Siemens in the market.
  • Consult with the customer to determine budgeting and investment requirements.
  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging our world‑class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales estimators, and other internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
  • Set pricing based on the identified value of the services offered to the customer.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to obtain the sale.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of time in customer‑facing activities, performed in person and on site.
  • Support existing customer base and act as a hunter to bring in new customers.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Travel overnight, ~10% for training and business development, as required based on your assigned territory.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
  • Demonstrated on‑the‑job experience with sales, account and business development, or consulting within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, life safety or similar commercial building/construction, medical or technology industries.
  • Sales Executive: 6+ months of experience.
  • Senior Sales Executive: 3+ years of experience.
  • For Senior Sales Executive: experience selling service agreements to multiple levels of the customer’s organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fire and life safety systems and equipment (for Senior Sales Executive).
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • On‑the‑job experience with building safety inspection codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFPA, CMS, etc.).
  • Experiences in estimating and selling technical solutions and servicing offerings independently.
  • NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I or II) for Senior Sales Executive.
  • Experience selling service agreements to multiple levels of the customer’s organization (for Sales Executive).
  • Working knowledge of common fire and life safety systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with building life safety inspection codes and standards.
