Job Summary

The Lead Field Supervisor serves as the front-line leader for field technicians and plays a critical role in supporting the Operations Manager by acting as an extra set of eyes and ears in the field. This role ensures that all services are executed efficiently, safely, and up to company standards. In addition to providing daily operational oversight, this position is responsible for identifying and communicating field challenges, employee feedback, and areas for improvement, as well as assisting in time management, job readiness, and supply coordination.

As a key liaison between field teams and the Operations Team, the Lead Field Supervisor is instrumental in ensuring smooth job execution, quality control, and optimal use of labor and materials. This individual helps maintain accountability across all levels of the field workforce while driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

  • Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm
Responsibilities

Field Supervision

  • Provide in-field support to technicians and act as a working leader in day-to-day operations.
  • Assign or adjust tasks during service execution to optimize time management and meet project goals.
  • Ensure all field work aligns with approved scopes, schedules, and pricing.
  • Conduct routine job site walk-throughs, quality spot checks, and informal inspections.
  • Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and real-time troubleshooting in the field.
  • Regularly observe technician performance in the field and provide detailed, constructive feedback to their direct supervisor to support individual development and performance improvement.
  • Ensure technicians adhere to job start times and stay on track with completion timelines.
Workflow & Job Readiness
  • Support Service Managers with proposal pricing when requested for specific complex or large-scale projects.
  • Manage daily job flow to align with the proposed or agreed-upon pricing and scope.
  • Review and confirm daily work orders for completeness and clarity.
  • Purchase and verify that all assigned jobs are fully stocked with appropriate materials, supplies, and tools prior to deployment.
  • Notify the Operations Manager immediately if any supply issues or gaps could delay scheduling.
  • Ensure efficient job flow by proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or misalignments.
  • Work closely with the Operations Assistant to coordinate material orders and scheduling timelines.
Service Quality & Safety
  • Uphold safety compliance in alignment with OSHA standards and internal SOPs.
  • Actively enforce safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE, safety behavior, and site cleanliness on all job sites.
  • Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture within the field team.
  • Conduct pre- and post-service checks to ensure quality workmanship and consistency with company standards.
  • Report any hazards, injuries, or quality concerns directly to the Market Leader and Operations Manager.
  • Support rollout and enforcement of safety protocols, job checklists, and quality assurance tracking tools.
Communication & Coordination
  • Act as a point of contact in the field for technicians and relay all relevant updates to the Operations Manager.
  • Communicate job status, delays, issues, or technician needs in real time to Operations.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Assistant to adjust scheduling or resolve material issues.
  • Translate office directives into actionable items for the field and ensure message clarity.
Team Support & Development
  • Provide informal coaching, skill-building, and hands-on demonstrations for technicians in need of support.
  • Maintain a roster or matrix of technician strengths, training needs, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in onboarding and in the field training for new hires by reinforcing safety protocols, quality expectations, and performance standards.
  • Share performance feedback, employee concerns, or process improvement ideas with the Operations Manager to support team development.
Success Metrics
  • Timely completion of all scheduled work in accordance with scope and budget
  • Reduction in repeat work, escalations, or field-related complaints
  • Accurate preparation of jobs with minimal delays due to supply or material issues
  • Strong communication flow between field and operations
  • Demonstrated improvement in field technician performance and accountability
  • Consistent adherence to safety procedures and reduction in incidents
Other Duties
  • Utilize company-provided software, email platforms, team chat applications, and mobile portals for efficient communication and task management.
