WSP is looking for a Senior Vice President, Environmental Remediation Engineer to serve in our California offices (Oakland, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Petaluma, San Jose, Fresno, Costa Mesa, and San Diego). The position focuses on consulting, selling, managing, designing, and implementing Environmental Multi-media Remediation programs for clients in the Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors. The candidate will help expand our environmental consulting business in California and the West.

• Perform Business Development within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial Sectors for environmental remediation, engineering and related services
• Lead customer care for at least one Oil & Gas or Industrial/Commercial client
• Design, oversee, mentor, and direct the efforts of staff and project-level engineers
• Assist in preparation of technical reports and proposals
• Collaborate with Service Line Leader, Sector Lead, other Principal and Senior-level employees at the office and firm-wide
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring deliverables, schedules and budgets are achieved
• Travel to project sites as needed to execute project goals and support business development
• Meet sales, revenue and delivery goals

• BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Geological or related Engineering field
• Consulting experience with petroleum contamination cleanups in soil and groundwater, including free floating products (LNAPL) and/or chlorinated solvent contamination for remediation of soil and groundwater
• 15+ years related environmental remediation and sales experience in California, with direct client account management
• California (Civil) Professional Engineer’s License
• Strong work ethic, self‑starter, team‑oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Project and Program Management experience
• Experience working with remediation/assessment projects involving the Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, DTSC and/or one of the local CUPAs
• Ability to mentor and direct engineers and technicians
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board and other CalEPA Programs
• Consulting experience in soil gas and vapor intrusion issues
• Developing and managing complex engineering design and design‑build projects
• Oversee remedy construction and operation and maintenance of environmental project work

• 40‑Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred
• Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired

Expected Salary (California): $220,000–$303,000
