Position: ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR I (SUPERVISOR)
Job Description and Duties

The State Comptroller is responsible for advising The Adjutant General on all financial resources appropriated to the California Military Department (CMD) by the State Legislature, the Federal Government under reimbursable agreements, and other reimbursements available to the CMD for California National Guard (CNG) and other related activities. The office consists of five sections:
Accounting, Administration, Budgets/Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Emergency Finance. Under direction of the Accounting Administrator II (Supervisor) within the accounting section, the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) is responsible for planning, organizing, performing, and delegation assignments, and is accountable for the work and performance of the Accounts Payable Travel and Purchase Order/Contract approvals.

Department Information

As an employee of the CA Military Department (CMD), you are required to perform the "essential functions" of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. You are expected to work cooperatively with all internal/external staff, to provide the highest level of customer service possible while meeting the CMD mission. All employees are required to treat others fairly, honestly, and with respect.

The CMD has free parking; a free gym on-site for employees; and conveniently located within a few miles of major shopping centers, including many restaurants.

Persons employed at the California Military Department must be able to pass a background investigation and Live Scan fingerprinting.

* This position may/may not be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the CMD and based on the current telework policy. While the CMD supports telework where possible, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
