Civils Operative

Overview

You will be reporting to the site Team Leader and undertaking multiple activities, including deep excavations, caissons, and installation of sewer and clean water pipelines. Your role will ensure minimal disruption to residents while meeting project targets and deadlines.

• Full compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures, taking responsibility for the safety, delivery and quality of the work undertaken.
• Commencing works only after all risks have been removed or minimised.
• Carrying out activities in accordance with RAMS and highlighting or escalating deviations.
• Compliance with NRSWA / NJUG / HAUC and client specifications.
• Accurate and timely completion of site paperwork and coordination of material delivery/pick‑up as required.
• Cooperating in any incident, accident or damage investigation.
• Ensuring all interactions with colleagues, customers and members of the public are polite and professional.
• Leading by example for others on site.

A full and valid driving licence is essential along with as many of the following tickets as possible:

• NRSWA operatives card
• Water hygiene card
• NPORS/CPCS (Excavator)
• CSCS card
• Underground service detection
• Deep excavation training
• Confined spaces
• First aid qualification
• Abrasive wheels

Extensive experience in a similar role and skill with a variety of tools and machinery. Safety‑focused with a great attitude and excellent communication skills.
