As a Phlebotomist at Newington Road Surgery, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. Main duties of the job- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Label and properly store collected samples for testing
- Verify patient information and ensure correct labeling of specimens
- Interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing any concerns or questions
- Follow established safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area

- - Successful completion of a phlebotomy training program
- - Current certification as a Phlebotomist
- - Strong knowledge of venepuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
- - Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labelling
