As a Phlebotomist at Newington Road Surgery, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. You will be responsible for efficiently and compassionately collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a positive patient experience.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
• Label and properly store collected samples for testing
• Verify patient information and ensure correct labeling of specimens
• Interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing any concerns or questions
• Follow established safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area

• - Successful completion of a phlebotomy training program
• - Current certification as a Phlebotomist
• - Strong knowledge of venepuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• - Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
• - Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labelling
