Our client is looking for an experienced & confident Senior Bookkeeper to step into a hands–on role and keep their finance function running smoothly on a temporary basis.

This is a practical, delivery‑focused role with full ownership of day‑to‑day accounting, no strategy, no budgets, no line management.

• Managing the full accounting cycle up to trial balance
• Completing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepayments, debtors & creditors)
• Processing income and expenditure across multiple funding streams
• Preparing schedules to support month‑end and year‑end audit
• Using Sage Line 50 & Excel daily
• Working closely with colleagues to resolve invoice and payment queries

• Strong hands‑on bookkeeping experience (end‑to‑end)
• Confident with bank reconciliations and balance sheet control
• Comfortable working up to trial balance
• Sage Line 50 experience
• Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently and hit the ground running

• Charity or regulated sector experience
• Understanding of restricted/unrestricted funds
• Experience supporting audits or year‑end

AAT / ICB qualified or qualified by experience
