Aerotek is currently seeking a highly qualified MIG Welder to provide welding assistance to a production team based in Ramsey, MN.

A valuable Welder should be comfortable with the following tasks:

• Work in a very fast-paced, production environment. Contractors will perform Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel all day, using weld fixtures and weld symbols to complete units within set time frames.
• Average of 2,000-2,500 welds per day, focusing on high productivity.
• Perform cosmetic welding with high consistency.
• Wear appropriate safety gear including a weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel toe boots, and ear plugs.
• Load metal onto fixtures, use symbols to weld parts, unload completed units, and pass them to the next worker for further assembly.
• Productivity is measured by the weld cell, not individual welders.

This position is during 2nd shift, currently from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with possible mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Contractors may work between 40 to 60 hours per week.
