As a Senior Developer, the primary responsibility is handling the development and support needs of CS Time Series Database and in‑house application catering Market Data to the trading and risk management functionalities for different asset classes in the firm.
The candidate should be able to understand thoroughly the end‑to‑end application development methodology, become fully conversant with all tools to provide effective end‑to‑end application support.
Specific Tasks- Design and develop components primarily based on C#.
- Familiarize with the applications, tools, feeds, databases, and batch files that are being supported by the team.
- Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered in Production.
The candidate is expected to be an extremely qualified developer of the highest caliber, capable of independently extracting requirements, deducing development tasks, and delivering components. Key points include:
Required Skills/Experience- 7+ years in developing software solutions
- At least 5+ years with C#
- 3+ years with messaging technologies
- Expert working knowledge of C# and .NET
- Expert in multi-threading and asynchronous messaging workflows
- Good knowledge of SOA tools (messaging, web‑services, XML libraries)
- Good database skills with any RDBMS systems (primarily Oracle and/or Sybase)
- Has experience of the SDLC process.

- Must be a self‑starter and be able work well in fast paced, dynamic environment.

- Experience working with fixed‑income products and analytics will be a plus
- Knowledge of the investment banking or banking sector support environment would be beneficial.
The main function of a developer is to develop, create, and modify general computer applications utilizing C, C#, C++, .Net, Web etc. A typical developer is responsible for designing applications or customizing applications for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities- Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
- Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
- Strong knowledge of application and software development.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
- 5-7 years experience required.
