Software Engineer, DevOps, Cloud Engineer - Software

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer to support a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure industry. The Software Engineer will focus on enhancing and maintaining Java‑based Spring Boot applications that are distributed using contemporary Dev Ops methodologies across the organization’s operational environment.

• Support and enhance Java-based Spring Boot applications.
• Contribute to application delivery using modern Dev Ops practices and tooling.
• Implement and maintain cryptographic operations leveraging PKCS
  11.
• Support Linux-based infrastructure and application servers, including Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and Git Ops workflows using Git, Pipelines, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, and AI-driven tooling.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries across Oracle and RDS environments.
• Monitor system performance and support ongoing reliability and scalability efforts.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with PKCS
  11 or similar cryptographic modules.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
• Hands‑on experience with Git Ops and CI/CD tooling including Git, ArgoCD, Pipelines, and Helm.
• Proficiency with automation and IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL, and cloud-hosted relational services (RDS).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.

• Salary range: $120,000 - $175,000
