Role Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a solid foundation in object‑oriented programming, and is excited to grow their skills in modern web development and cloud technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful features, collaborate with senior engineers, and develop strong engineering practices through mentorship and hands‑on experience.
You’ll contribute to building and maintaining web applications, writing clean and testable code, and supporting our long‑term transition toward automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of web features using OOP principles and technologies such as React (Type Script) and .NET (C#).
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following engineering best practices.
- Participate in writing unit tests and gradually learn test‑first approaches like TDD and BDD.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and learn from code reviews, mentorship, and pair programming.
- Assist with spikes/POCs to explore new ideas, designs, or technical approaches.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and UX designers to implement software functionality.
- Support the implementation of security best practices under guidance from senior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in software development (internships, co‑ops, or full‑time roles).
- Foundational knowledge of React (Type Script) and .NET (C#), with a strong understanding of OOP principles.
- Basic experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgre
SQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework or similar). - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Dev Ops practices.
- Exposure to microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus but not required.
- Familarity in cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Some experience writing unit tests and an interest in learning TDD.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and contribute to performance improvements with guidance.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
