This includes building highly reliable and scalable services and designing innovative full‑stack technical solutions. As we build the new network, we need you to bring your new ideas and enthusiasm to jump into opportunities, transforming industries as they emerge and grow. You will collaborate with a creative team to take on some of the toughest challenges in the tech world.

• Own product areas and lead the development effort for multiple components.
• Provide expert technical guidance on infrastructure, manageability, and distributed systems design and implementation.
• Lead architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and guide team members to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Own project deliverables, manage schedules, and track progress to ensure timely execution.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including development, product management, and security.
• Significantly invest in AI‑based engineering and test practices, and show high productivity gains.
• Embody and promote Cisco's culture and values as a role model.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 15+ years of experience in embedded software development using Java, Go, and Python.
• 5+ years of role leading a globally distributed engineering team of 30 people or more.
• 10+ years in systems/platform/infra engineering; 3+ years of operating Kubernetes in production at meaningful scale.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes expertise (cluster operations, custom resources/controllers, networking/storage/ingress patterns).
• Proficiency in systems programming and Golang, Java, Python.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and declarative configuration management.
• Security mindset: access controls, workload isolation, and vulnerability reduction.
• Hands‑on experience with API management tools, API gateways, identity and access management protocols.
• Experience across both cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Clear communication and demonstrated end‑to‑end technical leadership.
• Ability to demonstrate hands‑on coding skills.

• Full‑stack application development and user experience design.
• Strong skills in performance tuning and optimization.
