We’re looking for aSenior Software Developerwho will lead by example in designing and developing world-class, highlyscalable,cloud basedapplications that allow customers to provision, send, receive, and track billions of messages.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, deliver and support highlyscalable,cloud basedapplications
• Be a senior member of a software development team, and a leading voice in your team’s design and implementation efforts.
• Contribute to solutions from start to finish, collaborating across teams to iteratively ship value.
• Work with a team of developers with experience with distributed microservices.
• Work closely with product managers to create solutions that deliver the power to communicate.
• Look critically at what we’re building and how we’re building it
• Play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the infrastructure of our production and development environments

What You Need:

You are the right candidate if…

• You are passionate about your craft of building services with programming languages including Java and similar languages
• You have experience with AWS or another cloud platform, and you “get” how scalable cloud applications are engineered
• You enjoy solving complex problems at scale, and working closely with stakeholders to continually improve the customer experience and application reliability
• You are consistently innovating while actively reducing the complexity and increasing scalability and security across the software you develop
• You have a history of leading by example through your design and implementation
• You have extensive experience thoroughly and deeply reviewing code
• You have understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• You know IP networking, web protocols, and REST
• You’re passionate about writing testable code, and your test automation proves it
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• While years of experience is an imperfect measure, you’ve probably been a software engineer for 6+ years
• You enjoy mentoring others

Bonus Points:

• You have experience with scale and performance optimization.
• You have experience with relational and non-relational database systems.
