• Understanding requirements unique to an agency setting.
• Advocating for our developers and our clients.
• Meeting with and mentoring team leads and other direct reports to support their personal growth, providing technical mentoring and guidance when applicable, and collaborating with them in maintaining a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Collaborating with the CEO and department leaders to improve the efficiency, quality of life, and learning opportunities of our developers.
• Assisting with the recruitment and evaluation of engineering candidates.
• Proactively stay up to date on new technologies/tech trends/best practices for software development, deployment, and QA.
• Championing and establishing software engineering best practices, processes, and coding standards consistently across the dev team.
• Providing thought leadership through sharing knowledge and representing our expertise externally (e.g., client discussions and conference events) as well as internally (e.g., mentoring, "lunch and learns").

• 4-5 years professional software production experience
• 2 years in a leadership role
• Based in the United States

• Wide technical experience in many areas - including Dev Ops, QA, web, mobile, AR/VR, IoT, and machine learning
• Familiar with formal project management concepts
• At least one year as an entrepreneur (in any industry, tech is a plus) or at a consultant agency
