Electrical Senior Technician; 2nd Shift- Tiered

• Complete the repair or replacement of electrical, emergency power, fire alarm systems and related devices in Wake County facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability of building infrastructure
• Assist in performing required testing of electrical, emergency power, fire alarm and related systems
• Complete routine, preventative maintenance as well as emergency work orders as assigned including power outages, fire alarm troubles, generator failures etc
• Monitors work progress completed by contractors
• Enter information on work orders including time, materials and field notes on maintenance and repairs into GSA's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

A criminal background and credit check will be conducted.

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in electrical maintenance
• Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
• Equivalent education and experience are accepted

• NC Electrical License
• NICE T Level 1

• Knowledge of commercial building Electrical Systems, Fire systems, Generators
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders and various schematics
• Knowledge of relevant Electrical codes and regulations
• Ability to work cooperatively with other trades staff
• Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills
• Ability to work off ladders and motorized lifts
• Ability to work on roofs and elevated structures
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Effective time management skills
