The foreman must have experience successfully completing large site work, utilities, earthwork, and grading heavy civil projects, NCDOT, local specifications, and a strong understanding of project plans and OSHA specs. The foreman must also manage a 2 to 4 employee crew while maintaining daily safety and production goals. Do you have an experienced, qualified crew that has been working with you?

Position:
Foreman — Raleigh, NC. Competitive salary and excellent benefits & safety culture.

• Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 2–4-person Grade or Utilities crew.
• Utilizes heavy equipment to excavate grade and prepare the worksite.
• Continually inspects the work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Responsible for crew safety. Establishes and maintains a safe work environment that complies with the company safety program.
• Analyzes job cost reports to ensure production is within budget.
• Reviews and approves employee time reporting, tracks equipment and production.
• Must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
• Material delivery coordination and recording.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years Heavy Civil Foreman Experience — Required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints.
• Shoot grades and understand layout designs and implementation of the same.
• Ability to use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, eye levels, and transit levels to set appropriate grades for pipe installation.
• Ability to adapt and work effectively with a diverse workforce.

• Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with applicable standards, including meeting productivity standards.
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of entering confined spaces up to 15 feet deep, using ladders or crawling, as required.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
