Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Ironworker Helper for a project in Wilson, NC. The selected candidate will be considered for benefits and paid time off after 3 months. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

• Assist in installing, maintaining, and operating all instruments and measuring devices needed for functional systems.
• Load, transport, unload, and furnish craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Perform work from scaffolding, ladders, or other structures.
• Perform work overhead, at heights, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools, and equipment.
• Verbal communicate directions from craft supervisors and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Be prepared for significant travel as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

• Must effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Work may occur in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
• Must access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated or confined spaces safely.
• Must handle strenuous physical demands required to safely perform essential functions.
• Must operate all involved equipment and tools safely.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces, on ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward body positions.
