Overview
The Electrical Service & Construction Technician is responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of residential and commercial projects. This role involves driving a company vehicle to service locations, interacting with customers, and providing professional recommendations—including potential upgrades and sales opportunities.
Responsibilities- Drive a company vehicle safely to service appointments, job sites, and client locations.
- Perform electrical work, including service calls, new construction wiring, remodel projects, and system upgrades.
- Diagnose electrical issues, provide accurate assessments, and make effective repair recommendations.
- Execute installations, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear explanations of work performed.
- Identify and promote additional services or products based on customer needs (light sales).
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including work orders, materials used, and time tracking.
- Keep company vehicle and tools organized, clean, and properly maintained.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Prior electrical experience (service, construction, remodel, or related field preferred).
- Ability to diagnose electrical problems and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks typical of electrical work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work full-time
, with occasional overtime as needed. - State electrical license or apprentice registration (if required by your state).
$15 - $30 hourly
