Essential Job Duties
Most activities for this position are field related. Duties include cutting plants, planting seed, planting transplants, grafting plants, applying fertilizer, evaluating commodity quality, and harvesting. Candidates should be able to work within a group setting as well as individually. Candidates must have flexibility in schedule and be willing to perform manual labor daily. Working conditions are very often hot and humid.

- At least 1–2 years of college education with a background in vegetable/agricultural production or a major in horticulture/agriculture science or allied discipline.
- Field research experience or farming background is a plus.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a routine basis.
- Must be able to work in hot and humid field conditions.
