Temporary Laboratory Assistant/Technician

The purpose of this role is to conduct basic laboratory, greenhouse, and field activities such as making media, plating microorganisms, prepping microorganisms for long‑term storage, labeling samples and sample containers, organizing sample numbers in an Excel spreadsheet, measuring out seeds, filling pots with soil, organizing pots in the greenhouse, collecting soil, taking weather measurements, and walking through fields—all in accordance with protocols created by the PI, Daisy Ahumada.

• Organizing pots in the greenhouse

Work Schedule
: 12 hours per week between Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm.

Requirements
:

• Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Attention to detail and fine motor skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
